Product Description

WWII 1944 Springfield Armory M1 Garand .30-06, 24 in Barrel, Parkerized, SA 10-51 Barrel, Post-War SA Bolt

This Springfield Armory M1 Garand pairs a 1944 WWII-era receiver with a Springfield Armory replacement barrel marked S-A 10-51 and a post-war SA bolt. It retains the classic Parkerized finish, full-length hardwood stock, and correct iron sights with windage and elevation drums. The rifle includes its OD green cotton web sling and features the receiver heel marking "U.S. RIFLE CAL. .30 M1 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY."

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Rifling: Fair Rifling - Worn rifling, slight loss of definition.

The wood stock shows widespread handling wear with numerous blemishes and one large, deep ding. The front sight finish is worn with some exposed metal. The rifling is not very pronounced.

    What’s Included

    • OD green cotton web sling (installed)

Built by Springfield Armory in 1944, this M1 Garand represents the WWII production period and carries the correct receiver heel legend "U.S. RIFLE CAL. .30 M1 SPRINGFIELD ARMORY." It has the classic Parkerized steel finish and U.S. hardwood furniture associated with service rifles of the era.

The barrel is a Springfield Armory replacement marked S-A 10-51, indicating a post-war arsenal rebarrel. The bolt is a post-war Springfield Armory unit marked 6528287-SA -2, consistent with an arsenal upgrade path that kept these rifles in serviceable condition after WWII.

It retains key military features including the gas cylinder with bayonet lug, stacking swivel, and front sling swivel. The internal en-bloc system remains in place, and the rifle uses standard 8-round clips characteristic of the platform.

Sighting equipment is period-correct: a wing-protected front post and an aperture rear sight with windage and elevation drums, offering precise adjustments. The hardwood stock is full-length, paired with two-piece upper handguards, and the length of pull measures 13.0 inches.

Chambered in .30-06 with a 24-inch barrel, this gas-operated, semi-automatic, rotating-bolt rifle reflects its U.S. origin and WWII lineage while showing the documented post-war Springfield Armory updates.
