Manufactured by F.N.A. Brescia in 1932, this 91/28 TS bears the dual-date "1932-AX" marking associated with Anno X of the Fascist era. The receiver markings reflect Italian interwar production and clearly identify the maker and date. Made in Italy.
The 17.94 in barrel uses the Carcano's gain-twist rifling in 6.5 Carcano, designed to stabilize the service projectile through a progressive twist. A straight, vertical bolt handle with a round knob provides the TS-type operating profile in a compact carbine format.
Feeding is via the 6-round Mannlicher en-bloc clip system, consistent with the Carcano family. This configuration supports quick loading while maintaining the rifle's standard internal magazine architecture.
Furniture and hardware include a hardwood stock with a side butt sling bar and bottom swivels for a dual-sling arrangement, two barrel bands, and a two-piece hardwood top handguard. A side-mounted bayonet bar/rail is fitted on the right side of the front band; the underside projection at the nosecap is a stacking hook.
The iron sight set features a front blade on a banded base with protective ears. The rear is a tangent/ladder pattern with a rotating drum and a flip-up leaf, providing a versatile, period-correct sighting system.
