What’s Included
- Marlin Model 336 .30-30 lever-action rifle (1975)
Built in 1975 in the USA, this Model 336 represents the no-cross-bolt-safety era, combining a solid-top, side-eject receiver with a round bolt. The top of the receiver is drilled and tapped at the factory and currently fitted with filler screws, preserving a clean appearance.
The 20-inch round steel barrel is paired with a full-length tubular magazine for a 6+1 capacity in .30-30. It uses a standard-size lever loop and a gold-colored trigger, and employs a half-cock hammer as a safety feature. Loading is through the right-side loading gate.
Sighting is through iron sights: a ramped front sight (hood missing) and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. This familiar sight setup complements the rifle’s handy 20-inch configuration.
The rifle wears walnut furniture with a pistol-grip buttstock and smooth fore-end, capped by a Marlin-branded hard buttplate with a white-line spacer. The length of pull measures 13.5 inches, and the blued finish on the steel receiver and barrel completes the traditional look.
