Chambered in .22 Winchester Magnum Rimfire, this Model 61 is a late-production example from the 1960s with the oval ejection port and right-side takedown screw. It is a hammerless, pump-action takedown rifle built on polished, blued steel with a walnut stock and ribbed corncob forearm.
The rifle was professionally shortened from the factory 24 inch configuration to an 18 inch round barrel. The magazine tube was shortened to match, reducing the tube capacity to 7; overall reported capacity is 7+1. The original barrel rear-sight dovetail has been neatly blanked.
Sighting is upgraded with a Williams receiver aperture rear paired with a ramped bead front sight, offering a clean, precise sight picture. The stock has a checkered pistol grip and a Pachmayr White Line rubber recoil pad, with a measured length of pull of 13.5 inches.
Key features of this example include its .22 WMR chambering, takedown construction, and late-production configuration. It retains the Model 61’s smooth pump action with the right-side takedown screw, oval ejection port, and classic walnut-and-blued-steel presentation.
