Built by Armi San Marco in Italy, this reproduction follows the Colt 1851 Navy pattern with an open-top brass frame and a steel, wedge-retained octagonal barrel. The blued barrel and cylinder contrast with the brass frame and hardware, while a one-piece varnished hardwood grip completes the classic profile.
This is a .44 caliber reproduction variant of a design historically associated with .36 caliber, offering the familiar six-shot, single-action percussion system and period-correct loading lever. Fixed sights consist of a brass front bead and a barrel-mounted rear notch.
The cylinder is roll-engraved with the naval battle scene, a hallmark of the Navy pattern. Italian Gardone proof-house markings are present, including the PN black-powder proof and a two-letter date-code cartouche, confirming its proof and inspection history.
Notable details include the 7.5 inch barrel length, full-size frame, and steel cylinder and barrel with blued finish. The ASM percussion line ceased production around 2000, and this revolver is accompanied by its factory box with a matching end-label, indicating matching serials between the gun and box.
