What’s Included
- Marlin Model 336C .35 Rem lever-action rifle (1978)
- Unbranded hammer spur extension (installed)
The Model 336C carbine configuration pairs a 20-inch round barrel with a full-length tubular magazine for a 6-round capacity. Side ejection and a right-side loading gate support efficient loading and reliable operation. Two barrel bands secure the fore-end and magazine tube in the classic 336 layout.
Chambered in .35 Rem, this rifle uses Marlin's micro-groove rifling. The bore is rated Good, with clean surfaces and minor wear, and rifling that remains well defined.
Construction is all-steel with a blued finish, matched to a walnut stock and fore-end. The stock features a pistol-grip profile, a 13.5 in length of pull, and a black hard-plastic Marlin buttplate with a white-line spacer.
Sight equipment includes a ramped front sight with a dovetailed blade and a semi-buckhorn rear sight. Safety elements are period-correct for a 1978 rifle: no cross-bolt safety, a half-cock notch, and a lever-actuated safety interlock. The external hammer is fitted with an unbranded spur extension to improve thumb purchase. Made in the United States, this example reflects late-1970s Marlin production.
