What’s Included
- Winchester Model 1895 Lee Navy U.S.N. Contract rifle chambered in 6mm Lee Navy
This U.S. Navy contract configuration features the 28 inch barrel and full-length, oil-finished walnut stock specified for naval service. It includes the stacking ring and bayonet-lug boss on the nosecap, along with under-slung sling swivels, matching period Navy issue details.
The furniture includes a single mid-forearm barrel band and a steel buttplate with a hinged trapdoor; there is no upper handguard present on this example. The buttstock has a straight-wrist profile, consistent with Navy contract rifles of this model.
Sighting equipment consists of a block/blade front sight integral to the nosecap assembly and a barrel-mounted folding ladder rear sight. The receiver and metal components show a blued finish over steel, and the rifle was manufactured in the United States.
The internal design uses the 5-round Lee en-bloc/charger system that drops free out the bottom after the first round is chambered, a distinctive trait of the Lee Navy system. The observed serial falls within the first Navy contract block (1–9,999). Additional measurements include a 14.5 inch length of pull and a full-size profile.
