Officially designated 9 mm pistolet wz. 1964 (P-64, "CZAK"), this compact service pistol is built on an all-steel, blued frame and slide with black checkered grips. It uses a fixed-barrel blowback system paired with a DA/SA, hammer-fired action and a ring-spur hammer. Capacity is 7+1 with its single-stack magazine that includes a witness slot.
The slide shows the Polish factory code "11" and a four-digit production year, with this example dated 1968. The left side is marked "PL AMW 9 mm MAK 'P-64'." Century Arms import markings read "C.A.I. GEORGIA, VT • MADE IN POLAND • F B RADOM," documenting its surplus release and import path.
Controls and sighting features include a slide-mounted safety/decocker with red dot indicator, fixed sights (integral front blade and a fixed square-notch rear in a dovetail), rear slide serrations, and longitudinal anti-glare serrations across the top of the slide. The compact size and fixed barrel contribute to the P-64’s recognizable handling profile.
This P-64 retains the core characteristics that define the model: durable blued steel construction, a 3.3 inch fixed barrel, and clean, well-defined rifling. The included 7-round magazine features a finger-rest floorplate and an electro-penciled marking on the magazine body just above the floorplate, consistent with surplus issue practices.
