Built during 1950–1952, this Model 775A is a long-recoil-operated semi-automatic 12 gauge with a 26 inch barrel and a 2 3/4 inch chamber. The tubular magazine is stated at 4+1 capacity. The barrel address reads "SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A."
The alloy receiver has a rounded-back profile and factory engraving: pointers on the right side, waterfowl on the left, with additional scroll along the top receiver edges. The knurled magazine cap and bead sight arrangement remain consistent with the period configuration.
The installed Poly-Choke Deluxe external, dial-type choke/compensator provides indexed settings for Cylinder, Modified, Improved Modified, and Full, and is marked "Hartford, Conn., Pat. Pend." A bead-type front sight provides a clear sight picture.
Walnut furniture includes a pistol-grip stock and a forend with wraparound point-pattern checkering. A Pachmayr ventilated recoil pad with a white-line spacer is installed, yielding a 14.0 inch length of pull.
Markings include "PROOF TESTED — 12 GAUGE — 2 3/4 INCH CHAMBER." The shotgun retains the classic lines and mechanical layout associated with Savage’s mid-century semi-automatic designs.
