Walther P4 9mm Luger Semi-Auto Pistol, 4.25 in Barrel, DA/SA, West German 1976, Frame Decocker, 8+1
This West German Walther P4 is a 1976 production example of the police-pattern evolution of the P.38 design. It retains the Walther falling locking-block system, a frame-mounted decocker with no slide-mounted manual safety, and classic fixed sights with a height-coded front blade marked "2." Clear West German proof and origin markings, the "3/76" slide date, and the Walther banner "P4 Kal. 9mm" slide legend add strong provenance. It includes one Walther banner-marked "P1 9mm" magazine.

What's Included
- Walther P4 9mm pistol
- One 8-round Walther banner-marked "P1 9mm" magazine
Developed for West German police service in the 1970s, the P4 refines the proven Walther P.38 mechanism with DA/SA operation and the short-recoil, falling locking-block system. This example has the right-side ejection port and an internal extractor housed in the breech block, along with an external spur hammer and a frame-mounted decocker.
Markings are a highlight: the left slide carries the Walther banner with "P4 Kal. 9mm," and the slide is date-stamped "3/76." West German Eagle/N nitro and Ulm antler proofs are present, along with "MADE IN W. GERMANY." Matching assembly digits "649" appear on the slide.
Sight regulation is set up with a fixed rear notch and a replaceable, height-coded front blade that is factory-marked "2" and features a white dot. Controls include a heel-type magazine catch with an integral lanyard loop. The pistol wears black checkered synthetic grips and features a matte gray slide and barrel with a black alloy frame.
The 4.25-inch barrel and single-stack, 8+1 capacity maintain the familiar handling of the P.38 family. The included Walther banner-marked "P1 9mm" magazine reflects the P4's compatibility with the P1 single-stack magazine pattern.
