Built for .22 Short match use, the Olympic Slant-Grip features a fixed barrel and simple blowback operation. The slant-grip frame profile and right-hand wraparound target stock support rapid, consistent indexing for timed strings.
This example combines a 1971 frame with an East Hartford–marked replacement upper assembly. The upper is retained by the frame’s takedown lever, reflecting the Olympic’s interchangeable top-end design favored by competitors.
The 5.5 inch barrel carries a serrated top rib with triangular relief cuts near the muzzle to reduce sight glare and mass. The rib is drilled and tapped for accessories. A micrometer-style adjustable rear sight is installed; the front-sight mounting provision is present, but the front blade is not installed.
A light reciprocating top slide/bolt unit with vertical rear serrations contributes to fast cycling with .22 Short. The steel frame and receiver wear a blued finish. Capacity is 10+1, and two 10-round magazines are included. Made in the United States, this configuration reflects the Olympic series’ focus on precision rapid-fire performance.
