The Mark I series pairs a straight-blowback, semi-automatic action with a single-action trigger, delivering the classic Ruger .22 handling characteristics. The tubular upper with right-side ejection port and integral fixed rear notch define the platform’s recognizable profile.
The 6-inch tapered barrel is matched to fixed sights: a front blade on a banded base and a rear notch integral to the receiver. The blued finish over carbon steel and the steel grip frame provide a traditional look and durable construction.
Controls are first-generation Mark I configuration, including the heel-type magazine catch. The pistol does not incorporate a last-shot hold-open, consistent with early Ruger .22 Automatic design. Field-stripping is performed via the rear mainspring housing, as designed for this series.
Grips are black checkered synthetic with Ruger eagle medallions, complementing the blued finish while providing a secure, period-correct feel. Capacity is 9+1 rounds of .22 LR.
