The 3.27 in cold hammer-forged barrel uses polygonal rifling, and the slide wears HK's Hostile Environment nitrocarburized finish with front and rear serrations. The pistol operates on a short-recoil, Browning-type locked-breech system.
Sights are fixed iron: a front post with dot and a rear square-notch. German CIP proofs are present, including the Ulm antler, "DE," and BH date code, with HK USA Columbus, GA import marking. Matching serials are noted on the barrel, slide, and frame insert.
