This German-made GSG-1911 is a full-size .22 LR 1911-pattern pistol designed as a practical trainer with familiar single-action operation. It features a 5-inch barrel with internal muzzle threads and a factory thread adapter/protector installed, adjustable 3-dot sights, and checkered walnut double-diamond grips. Imported by American Tactical, it carries German proof marks and matching serials on the slide and frame, and it comes with three 10-round magazines and the original GSG case.

Built as a 1911-pattern trainer, this GSG-1911 uses a blowback, single-action system optimized for high-velocity .22 LR. The full-size frame and 5-inch barrel provide familiar proportions and sight radius, while the 10+1 capacity and included three magazines support extended range sessions.
The sighting system uses a 3-dot layout with a dovetailed, drift-adjustable rear secured by a set screw and an interchangeable-height front blade retained by a screw. This setup allows straight-forward windage correction and front-sight height swaps to fine-tune elevation.
The barrel features internal muzzle threads with a removable protector, and this example includes the factory knurled thread adapter/protector installed. The design preserves the classic 1911 profile while providing threaded capability when needed.
Controls and build details include a skeletonized trigger, a skeletonized commander-style hammer, standard magazine release, rear slide serrations, and checkered walnut double-diamond grips. Safety features comprise a thumb safety, grip safety, magazine disconnect, and firing pin safety. The pistol wears a polymer-coated finish and bears CIP N and DE proof marks along with "Made in Germany" and the ATI Summerville, SC import mark. Matching serials are present on the slide and frame.
