The P95DC is a DA/SA decocker-only variant with ambidextrous, slide-mounted decocking levers and an exposed spurred hammer. It uses a traditional DA/SA trigger and incorporates a firing pin block safety. The ambidextrous magazine release supports versatile operation for right- or left-handed shooters.
Its matte stainless slide sits on a black, glass-fiber-reinforced polymer frame. This example reflects the 2005 update with a rounded/contoured trigger guard and a textured grip frame. An integral single-slot accessory rail on the dustcover allows attachment of compatible lights or accessories.
The 3.9-inch barrel runs a short-recoil, cam-block, linkless tilting-barrel operating system. Sights are fixed 3-dot with a fixed front and a dovetailed, windage-adjustable rear, providing a robust, low-profile setup.
As the first polymer-frame model in Ruger’s P-Series, the P95 line holds a distinct place in the company’s catalog. This pistol was manufactured in 2006 in the United States; the series was discontinued in 2013. Ruger notes U.S. Army TACOM procurement of P95 pistols, underscoring the model’s presence in institutional evaluations.
