The SR9c pairs a compact 3.4" barrel with a brushed stainless slide and a black, glass-filled nylon frame to create a carry-friendly 9mm with straightforward handling. The slide wears front and rear serrations, an external extractor, and a top-mounted loaded chamber indicator for quick status checks.
Controls are well laid out and ambidextrous, including a D-shaped magazine release and manual thumb safety. The trigger uses an integral safety blade, and the pistol retains a loaded chamber indicator as an additional visual and tactile cue.
Sighting is handled by a 3-dot set with a raked-forward front and a rear unit adjustable for windage and elevation, making it easy to fine-tune to ammunition or point of aim. An accessory rail on the frame accommodates compatible lights or other rail-mounted tools.
The 9mm barrel uses 6-groove rifling with a 1:10 RH twist. Capacity is 10+1 with the included magazine, and the platform accepts full-size SR9 magazines when used with a grip-sleeve adapter. This pistol was manufactured in 2013 at Ruger's Prescott, Arizona facility and represents the discontinued SR-series later supplanted by the Security-9 line.
