The stainless steel construction extends across the frame, barrel, and cylinder, with a polished stainless overall finish; the topstrap and barrel rib have a matte/anti-glare treatment. The 4-inch barrel uses a full underlug and a shrouded ejector rod, and it is non-ported. The barrel is roll-marked "The Judge" and "TAURUS" for clear model identification.
Its DA/SA mechanism pairs a smooth-faced trigger with an external, spurred, checkered hammer. The five-shot, long-fluted cylinder uses a swing-out design with a star extractor for straightforward unloading.
Sighting is simple and fast with a red fiber-optic front and a fixed rear notch integral to the topstrap. The black ribbed rubber Ribber grip with Taurus medallion provides a secure, consistent hold.
Markings include TAURUS INT. MFG., MIAMI-FL – USA and MADE IN BRAZIL, confirming import by Taurus International and Brazilian manufacture. Chambering supports both .45 Colt and .410 shotshells, offering notable versatility in a compact 4-inch package.
