What’s Included
- Davide Pedersoli Plainsman .38 percussion single-shot muzzleloader rifle
The Plainsman configuration pairs a 37-inch full-octagon steel barrel with a percussion sidelock featuring a separate hexagonal drum screwed into the barrel; the original cone-shaped nipple has been replaced by an aftermarket primer/nipple conversion adapter installed in the drum. It is marked "BLACK POWDER ONLY," "CAL .38," "MADE IN ITALY," and "PLAINS…MAN," and has a 1-round capacity.
The half-stock wood stock is complemented by brass furniture throughout, including the buttplate, nosecap, and trigger guard. Decorative brass buttstock inlays (starburst and escutcheon) and one transverse wedge key with brass escutcheons complete the traditional hardware.
Sighting is via iron sights with a dovetailed front blade and a fixed/open rear sight. The rifle has a 13.0-inch length of pull for a classic shouldering feel.
Factory scroll engraving accents the hammer; the lockplate is plain with a simple border line. A personalized brass sideplate adds a unique touch. Italian proof marks are present, including star-over PN, the Gardone proof symbol, and the AC date code. The serial number is present on the barrel.
