What's Included
- Auto-Ordnance ZG-51 Pit Bull .45 ACP pistol
- Four 7-round steel single-stack magazines with witness holes
The ZG-51 Pit Bull delivers compact 1911 handling in a robust, all-steel package. The 3.625 in barrel and single-stack frame maintain a shorter profile while retaining traditional 1911 single-action operation, left-side thumb safety, and grip safety.
Slide markings include "ZG-51 AUTO-ORDNANCE .45 CAL" with the Thompson logo and the "PIT BULL" model name with dog logo. The slide has rear cocking serrations only and a matte dark finish matched to the steel frame.
Sighting is straightforward and fast with a fixed 3-dot setup: a ramped front blade with a white dot and a square-notch rear with two white dots. Controls follow a classic layout with a left-side magazine release and a solid, non-skeletonized trigger.
The pistol features checkered black synthetic grips and a rowel (ring) hammer with a lightening hole. It is designed for 7-round single-stack magazines (7+1 capacity) and has an approximate listed weight of 36 oz, underscoring its all-steel construction.
This example is a West Hurley, N.Y. Auto-Ordnance production (pre-1999), aligning with the late 1980s–1990s era of manufacture. It comes with four magazines, offering ready range or carry rotation for a compact .45 ACP 1911 format.
