The X-Bolt action employs a three-lug bolt with a 60-degree lift for scope clearance and smooth cycling. Browning's Feather Trigger is an adjustable, three-lever design that enhances control and consistency.
The black composite stock is built for practical field use, with textured grip and fore-end panels, a straight comb, and a recoil pad. Sling swivel studs are installed, and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Feeding is via Browning's detachable rotary magazine system. This rifle uses the long-action standard-cartridge pattern; capacity is 4+1, and it comes with two 4-round magazines marked "LONG STANDARD." The rifle is configured with no sights.
