- 1x 6-round factory Beretta U.S.A. steel magazine with pinky-extension baseplate
The BU9 Nano uses a striker-fired, locked-breech action in a micro footprint designed for concealment. It carries 6+1 rounds of 9mm Luger and uses a 3-inch barrel to balance compact dimensions with practical performance.
Built in the United States, the slide bears the Gallatin, Tennessee marking alongside "Made in USA." The receiver is stainless steel, topped by a matte silver slide with rear serrations, and paired with a fiberglass-reinforced technopolymer grip frame in mint (robin's-egg).
The pistol maintains a snag-free profile with no external manual safety or slide release. An internal slide catch locks the slide open on empty. Controls include a reversible magazine release and a striker deactivation button for administrative handling.
Low-profile sights are dovetailed and drift-adjustable via set screws, with a front white-dot blade and a rear notch. The model was introduced in 2011 and discontinued in 2019, later succeeded by the APX Carry. Its modular, removable serialized fire control unit enables grip-frame swaps.
