What’s Included
- Davide Pedersoli Frontier Rifle, Percussion, .36 caliber
Built as a faithful reproduction, this Frontier Rifle uses an integral snail/bolster (patent) percussion breech that is part of the breech plug, with the nipple threaded directly into the bolster and a fence behind it, and an external hammer. It is a single-shot design with a single trigger and a full-length, one-piece wood stock without a patchbox, reflecting traditional longrifle lines.
The 39" octagonal steel barrel has a browned finish with a flat crown. Sighting is straightforward and period-correct, with a dovetailed steel front blade and a low open rear sight set in a dovetail. Length of pull measures 14.0 inches.
Aesthetics and materials are thoughtfully executed: the lockplate is color case-hardened, and the rifle wears brass furniture, including the buttplate, a trigger guard with finger spur, the nosecap, and the ramrod pipes. The overall finish presents a browned/plum tone consistent with the model.
Proof and origin details are clear. The rifle bears the star over PN black powder proof, the Gardone/Brescia proof house crest, and the boxed BF date code indicating 1995. Country of origin is Italy, and this model has also been known in the U.S. market as the Cabela's Blue Ridge Rifle.
