What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 10-9 .38 Special revolver
- Pachmayr Gripper rubber finger-groove stocks (aftermarket, installed)
The Model 10-9 configuration here is a six-shot, double-action/single-action K-frame built on carbon steel with a polished blue finish. It has a 4-inch tapered barrel, an unshrouded ejector rod, and a fluted cylinder chambered in .38 Special. The hammer and trigger show color case-hardening, and the firing pin is mounted on the hammer.
Sight regulation is fixed, using a pinned serrated ramp front sight and an integral rear notch in the topstrap. This setup provides a straightforward, durable sight picture suited to the revolver’s service lineage.
The 10-9 engineering package includes revised yoke retention, the radius stud system, and a floating-hand/hammer-nose bushing. This example retains the pre-MIM configuration with a hammer-nose firing pin, aligning with its 1994 production year.
Factory markings include the barrel rollmarked ".38 S.&W. SPECIAL CTG.", the S&W TRADE MARK logo, and "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS." The yoke is marked "MOD. 10-9." Aftermarket Pachmayr Gripper finger-groove stocks provide a rubber, hand-filling profile.
