Product Description

Winchester Model 1903 Standard Grade .22 Winchester Automatic Semi-Auto Rifle, 20 inch Barrel (1919)

Winchester’s Model 1903 is the company’s first commercial semi-automatic rifle, and this Standard Grade example dates to 1919. Chambered for the proprietary .22 Winchester Automatic cartridge, it features takedown construction, top ejection, and Johnson’s balanced-bolt blowback system. With production of roughly 126,000 rifles from 1903 to 1932, this 20-inch, blued steel and walnut rifle stands out with classic styling and period-correct features.

    What’s Included

    • Winchester Model 1903 Standard Grade rifle

The Model 1903 uses the .22 Winchester Automatic cartridge, which is not interchangeable with .22 LR. It feeds from a 10-round tubular magazine housed in the buttstock, loaded through a right-side port, with a 10+1 total capacity.

Designed around Johnson’s balanced-bolt blowback system, this semi-automatic rifle features top ejection and takedown construction for transport and maintenance. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and trigger guard were observed.

The rifle wears a 20-inch steel barrel and a blued steel receiver. Sighting is handled by a barrel-mounted open rear sight with elevator and a small blade front sight.

Classic Winchester styling includes a straight-grip walnut stock with a smooth walnut fore-end. The length of pull measures 13.0 inches, offering a traditional fit and feel.
