Smith & Wesson .32-20 Hand Ejector Model of 1905 No-Change, 5-inch Blued DA/SA Revolver (1905)
This Smith & Wesson .32-20 Hand Ejector Model of 1905 No-Change is an early-production, U.S.-made K-frame revolver with a 5-inch tapered round barrel and fixed sights. It retains a blued finish and features a six-shot fluted cylinder. The left side of the barrel is marked “.32 WINCHESTER CTG.” Notable details include the S&W "Trade Mark" monogram on the sideplate, assembly number "5016" in the yoke recess, and aftermarket Pachmayr wraparound grips with gold medallions. This example predates S&W's 1919 .32-20 cylinder heat-treating change noted in collector references.

Built on the early S&W K-frame Hand Ejector pattern, this No-Change variant of the Model of 1905 maintains the classic swing-out six-shot cylinder and DA/SA operation in .32-20 Winchester. The barrel is rollmarked ".32 WINCHESTER CTG." and measures 5 inches with the traditional tapered, round profile.
The revolver wears fixed sights with a forged front blade and a topstrap rear notch. The front blade has orange paint applied for a more defined sight picture. Controls include a smooth trigger face, a checkered hammer spur, and a checkered S&W-style cylinder-release thumbpiece.
Construction is carbon steel with a blued finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. The cylinder is fluted and locks via an unshrouded ejector rod with a knurled tip and an under-barrel locking lug. The sideplate carries the S&W "Trade Mark" monogram, and an assembly number "5016" is observed in the yoke recess. No lanyard swivel is present.
Aftermarket Pachmayr rubber wraparound grips with finger grooves and gold medallions are installed, offering a secure hold. This revolver dates to early 1905 production and falls into the pre-1919 period relative to S&W's .32-20 cylinder heat-treating change frequently noted by collectors.
