This first-generation tang-safety Ruger M77R Standard Rifle in .300 Win. Mag. was manufactured in 1980 and features Ruger’s integral dovetail scope bases with horizontally split rings. It comes with a mounted Redfield 3–9x scope and a 24-inch sporter barrel without factory open sights. The rifle combines a classic walnut stock with a blued finish and a Mauser-style external claw extractor paired with a push-feed system.

The rifle is a first-generation M77R with the tang-mounted, two-position safety and a Southport, Connecticut barrel address. The action uses a Mauser-style external claw extractor with a push-feed system, combining sure extraction with smooth feeding.
Its 24-inch sporter-profile barrel features a recessed crown and is unthreaded, with no factory iron sights. The blued finish complements the traditional walnut stock.
The internal box magazine holds 3+1 rounds and is paired with a black anodized hinged floorplate. The length of pull measures 13.5 inches, offering a classic hunting-rifle fit.
