    What’s Included

    • Winchester Model 1895 Saddle Ring Carbine (Solid Frame) in .30-40 Krag

The Model 1895’s fixed single-stack box magazine with a hinged floorplate supports safe use of spitzer bullets, a defining feature of this design. This carbine retains its saddle ring on the left side of the receiver and wears a blued finish over its steel receiver and barrel. The receiver is a solid-frame (non-takedown) type with later contoured sideplates appropriate to its 1923 production.

Carbine furniture includes a straight-grip walnut stock, finger-groove fore-end with front barrel band and schnabel tip, and a steel carbine buttplate with trapdoor. Length of pull measures 12.5 inches, providing a compact, handy profile consistent with carbine configuration.

Sights are classic iron: a pinned front blade in a base and an open rear leaf with a folding ladder and elevation slider. These complement the 22 inch barrel for practical field sighting. The capacity is 5+1.

Markings and proofs include the Winchester oval "WP" proof and Winchester model/manufacturer legends with patent dates on the upper tang and left receiver. The barrel shank is marked ".30 ARMY," the period designation for .30-40 Krag. Country of origin is the United States.
