Built by DWM in Germany during WWI, this LP.08 retains key factory markings and features that identify it as a correct Artillery Luger: a chamber dated 1917, the DWM scroll on the toggle, and Imperial German crown-over-letter acceptance proofs on the right receiver.
The pistol carries the LP.08’s distinctive sighting system. It has a front blade on a banded base with protective ears and a rear tangent ladder sight mounted on the barrel extension, with a slider graduated 1–8 and a locking button.
This example is numbers matched, with the final two digits "12" observed on many small parts, supporting its matching status. The included magazine is not numbers matched to the pistol.
Construction is all steel with a blued finish and checkered wood grip panels. It operates on the short-recoil, toggle-locked system and uses a manual safety. The left-side safety shows the "GESICHERT" marking when engaged. Capacity is 8+1.
