Product Description

    Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine .25-35 WCF, 20-Inch, 1905 Pre-War, Mixed Finish, 7-Round

This 1905 Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine is chambered in .25-35 Winchester with a 20-inch round barrel and a full-length 7-round tubular magazine. It retains its saddle ring and staple, a top-eject receiver with two sideplate screws, and blued barrel and magazine tube, while the receiver shows mostly in-the-white/bright metal with minimal bluing remaining. The tang is marked "Model 1894 - Trade Mark," and the barrel is marked "25-35 W.C.F." Collectors and shooters alike will note the checkered walnut stock and forearm, along with the shotgun-style checkered steel buttplate.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Very good condition, showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Fouling: Moderate Fouling - Lead or copper fouling with noticeable buildup.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: For its age, this rifle is in great shape. The barrel and magazine tube retain bluing, while the receiver has worn to mostly bright metal with only traces of blue remaining. Light scuffs and handling marks are present, consistent with a gun over 100 years old.

    What’s Included

    • Winchester Model 1894 Saddle Ring Carbine chambered in .25-35 Winchester

This Saddle Ring Carbine configuration features a 20-inch round steel barrel secured by a carbine barrel band, paired with a full-length tubular magazine offering a 7-round capacity. The top-eject receiver retains two sideplate screws and a standard-size lever loop, staying true to the classic carbine layout.

The rifle is chambered in .25-35 Winchester, with the barrel clearly marked "25-35 W.C.F." Sighting is handled by a fixed front sight and a barrel-mounted open rear sight with an elevator for fine-tuning elevation.

The stock set is walnut with a straight-grip profile and checkering at the wrist and forearm. A shotgun-style checkered steel buttplate completes the classic handling characteristics. The length of pull measures 13.0 inches.

Pre-war manufacture in 1905 and USA production add historical context to this example. Additional period details include the tang marking "Model 1894 - Trade Mark" and the saddle ring and staple on the left side of the receiver.
