This full-size 1911-22 uses a 5-inch Government-length barrel and a single-column detachable magazine for a 10+1 capacity in .22 LR. It retains the familiar 1911 grip angle and control layout, making it intuitive for anyone accustomed to the platform.
The operating system is a straight-blowback design with a fixed, steel-lined barrel. A traditional barrel bushing is present, and the pistol runs in single-action only with a spur hammer. Controls include a left-side magazine release, a thumb safety with a red fire indicator dot, and a grip safety.
The slide features rear serrations only, with no front serrations, and an internal extractor. The black-finished Chiappalloy (zinc alloy) frame and receiver maintain a uniform look alongside checkered wood grips bearing CF medallions.
Iron sights include a fixed blade front and a drift-adjustable rear notch with a windage screw, allowing straightforward lateral adjustment. This setup provides a clean, practical sight picture for rimfire use.
Factory markings are present: the left slide is marked "MODEL 1911-22 – Chiappa Firearms Ltd., Dayton, Ohio," and the right frame reads "CHIAPPA FIREARMS, LTD DAYTON, OHIO."
