This 1988 Smith & Wesson Model 29-3 is a U.S.-made N-frame .44 Magnum with a 6-inch barrel and high-polish blue finish. What's Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 29-3 revolver
The Model 29-3 is built on Smith & Wesson's robust N-frame in carbon steel with a high-polish blue finish on the frame, cylinder, and barrel. The 6-inch barrel carries an integral long top rib with longitudinal serrations and a partial ejector-rod shroud, paired with a knurled-tip ejector rod.
Sighting equipment includes a serrated ramp front sight with an orange/red insert and an S&W micrometer-adjustable square-notch rear sight, providing a precise and clearly defined sight picture.
Controls are classic S&W: a smooth-face trigger and a wide, checkered hammer spur, with a double-action/single-action mechanism. The six-round fluted cylinder chambers .44 Remington Magnum and operates with the expected N-frame solidity.
Ergonomics are anchored by checkered wooden target-style stocks with inset S&W medallions on a square-butt grip frame. Frame markings read "MADE IN U.S.A. MARCAS REGISTRADAS SMITH & WESSON SPRINGFIELD, MASS." This 29-3 precedes the later Endurance Package updates, marking an important engineering step in the late-1980s production era.
