The Grade VI treatment includes scroll engraving with 24K gold animal inlays on a two‑tone receiver—blued frame with French gray (coin) engraved side panels—and a gloss blued barrel. The left side shows a fox stalking a squirrel, while the right side features a dog pursuing a rabbit. A gold dog's head oval adorns the barrel shank, complemented by 24K gold accents and a gold-colored trigger.
This SA-22 uses a semi-automatic blowback action with bottom ejection. It is a takedown design and includes a user-adjustable lockup ring at the barrel/receiver interface. The 19-inch round-profile barrel is paired with open iron sights, consisting of a front sight and an adjustable rear leaf.
The walnut stock and forend wear a high-gloss lacquer finish with fine checkering and a steel buttplate. Loading is through the buttstock magazine port, feeding a tubular magazine with a 10-round .22 LR capacity plus one in the chamber. A cross-bolt safety provides straightforward operation.
Manufactured by Miroku in Japan, this rifle bears Browning's "PP" serial code denoting 1988 production, and model code 646 identifying the Grade VI. Rollmarks include "BROWNING ARMS COMPANY MORGAN, UTAH & MONTREAL P.Q. MADE IN JAPAN." and "CALIBER .22 LONG RIFLE BROWNING PATENTS." Approximate catalog weight is about 5 lb 3 oz.
