Made by DWM in Germany during WWI, this LP.08 is chamber top stamped 1917 and features the DWM scroll monogram on the toggle link, with Imperial German acceptance/proof crowns on the right receiver. The long barrel design measures approximately 200 mm (8 in) and is paired with a tangent rear sight graduated to 800 m and a front blade.
Its action is the classic short-recoil, toggle-locked system with a manual safety. The frame, receiver, and barrel are carbon steel, and the frame bears the safety legend "GESICHERT." A stock lug is present on the rear of the grip frame.
This example shows numbers matching observed on multiple small parts, and the serial includes the letter suffix "e." The grips are checkered walnut with large non-factory 'Big 9' numerals inlaid/painted on both panels, a distinctive custom touch noted on this piece.
The included Trommelmagazin 08 Drum Mag supports a 32+1 configuration and retains its winding lever and numbered scale. A Hunter (St. Louis) "H27" leather holster accompanies the pistol for complete carry and storage.
