Produced at Tula in 1950, this SKS-45 carries the factory’s star crest and year stamp "1950r." on the receiver cover, with Soviet inspection and acceptance markings near the chamber. These original markings provide clear provenance and align with its period-correct configuration.
The rifle retains its core SKS features: a fixed 10-round internal magazine, a short-stroke gas piston operating system with a tilting-bolt, and a 20.5 in barrel chambered in 7.62x39. The steel receiver and major components wear a blued finish.
Sighting is handled by a protected post front sight and a tangent-leaf rear sight with a slider, bearing standard range markings. This setup reflects standard Soviet military patterning for the model and era.
The stock is solid hardwood with a reddish/brown shellac finish and a steel buttplate, complemented by a wood upper handguard. An integral folding blade bayonet (left in the white) and the under-barrel cleaning rod remain installed, completing the rifle’s as-issued profile.
Matching serial numbers are observed on multiple major components, consistent with Soviet assembly practices. Length of pull measures 12.5 in.
