The No. 1-B Standard Rifle configuration combines a 26-inch blued steel barrel with a quarter rib and no iron sights. The rib includes integral cuts for Ruger proprietary rings, and a set of steel rings is included.
Its Farquharson-style, hammerless falling-block action uses an underlever integrated into the trigger guard. The action incorporates an adjustable extractor/ejector system and is operated with a tang safety.
The stock set is American walnut with cut checkering, a pistol-grip profile, and a semi-beavertail fore-end. It is finished with a rubber recoil pad, sling swivel studs, and an oval grip cap with medallion. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
This single-shot is chambered in 7mm Rem. Mag. with a 1-round capacity. The receiver and barrel are blued steel, and the rifle was manufactured in 1997.
