The LS long-slide layout uses a 6-inch stainless steel barrel with a traditional bushing system and a satin stainless slide and frame. The slide has rear cocking serrations only and a lowered ejection port for reliable clearance. Overall length is approximately 9.7 inches, with an empty weight of about 42 ounces.
The sighting system combines a fiber-optic front (orange/red rod) with an adjustable black target rear, giving a precise and easily visible sight picture. The fire-control setup includes a long, three-hole, aluminum match-type trigger and a commander-style skeletonized hammer.
This single-action 1911 uses a left-side thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety. Ergonomics are enhanced by checkered rosewood grips with the Kimber logo, a smooth front strap, and a flat, checkered mainspring housing. A lightly beveled magazine well aids reloads.
The pistol has a Government-length dust cover with no accessory rail and a single-stack capacity of 7+1. It is built in the United States, with the frame marked Yonkers, NY, and belongs to Kimber’s Stainless Target series launched in late 2017.
