This New Frontier .22 is the convertible/dual-cylinder variant chambered in .22 LR and .22 WMR. The installed .22 LR cylinder is fluted, and the included .22 WMR spare cylinder is unfluted. It retains the six-shot capacity and single-action operation associated with the series.
The revolver is built on a flat-top frame with a fully adjustable rear sight paired with a ramp front sight, providing a defined sight picture. It has a 7.5-inch barrel. The top of the barrel bears the Hartford address rollmark, the left side of the frame carries the patent-date legends with the Rampant Colt, and the flat topstrap is plain aside from the rear sight base.
Finish is classic Colt: a color case-hardened frame combined with a blued barrel and a high-polish blued cylinder. It wears black checkered composition "American Eagle" grips with Rampant Colt medallions, completing the period-correct appearance.
