Smith & Wesson Model 41 .22 LR, 5.5 in Heavy Barrel, Blued, 1993 Production, Adjustable Target Sights, 3 Magazines, Box & Manual
This 1993 Smith & Wesson Model 41 stands out with its 5.5-inch heavy target barrel, full-length serrated rib, and recessed target crown. It features a blued carbon steel construction, micrometer-click adjustable rear sight, and Patridge front sight mounted to the fixed barrel assembly. The pistol comes with three factory magazines, the original manual, and the factory blue box with a matching end label, and it bears the BMC serial prefix consistent with S&W's post-1984 triple-alpha system. Note: the blue box end label lists the caliber as “.22M”; this appears to be a factory misprint on an otherwise matching label (serial BMC0138). The pistol itself is correctly chambered in .22 Long Rifle, and the barrel is roll-marked “22 LONG RIFLE.” S&W did not produce the Model 41 in .22 Magnum.

The 5.5-inch heavy target barrel with a full-length serrated rib and recessed target crown is built for precision. The setup provides a consistent sight picture well-suited to precision shooting.
The sighting system uses a Patridge-type front blade on a raised base and a micrometer-click adjustable rear sight. This combination enables fine, repeatable adjustments for target work.
Construction is all blued carbon steel with rear vertical cocking serrations. The checkered hardwood target stocks have a gloss finish and a flared butt, and the backstrap and visible frontstrap feature fine longitudinal serrations for added control.
Mechanically, it is a straight blowback, single-action design with a 10+1 single-column capacity. The trigger guard serves as the takedown latch, and the top rib is the pre-1994 style that is not drilled and tapped. Production date is 1993, made in the United States, with the BMC serial prefix aligning with S&W's triple-alpha system.
