The MK18 upper is marked "DDMK18" and is mated to the MK18 RIS II quad rail in FDE, marked with Cage Code 3E3E2 and U.S. Patent No. 7,716,865. The top rail is T-marked for repeatable accessory placement, and polymer rail covers are installed for grip and protection. A Daniel Defense QD sling-mount block is already in place.
The 10.3 in barrel is 4150 CMV steel, cold hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and threaded 1/2x28 with an open-prong flash hider. A 1:7 RH twist supports a wide range of 5.56mm projectiles, and the carbine-length gas system keeps the package compact while maintaining reliable cycling.
Receivers are forged 7075-T6 aluminum with an earth-tone brown finish, and the Daniel Defense Bolt-Up free-float interface secures the handguard without bearing on the barrel. The rifle uses the AR-15 platform with a semi-automatic direct-impingement action.
User-focused upgrades include an ambidextrous extended charging handle and a skeletonized single-stage trigger. A collapsible stock and a Daniel Defense pistol grip with textured rubber panels round out the controls, while flip-up iron sights provide an immediate sighting solution out of the box.
This factory MK18 configuration reflects SOCOM Block II lineage, with the RIS II rail selected for SOPMOD Block II programs. Approximate overall length is 26.75–29.88 in, and weight is about 6.0 lb. This is an NFA item and will require a tax stamp.
