- One 10-round steel SCAR-pattern magazine with polymer floorplate
The SCAR 20S is purpose-built around a 20-inch cold hammer forged, chrome-lined heavy profile barrel marked "7.62×51 1:12." It is threaded 5/8x24 and fitted with a three-prong flash hider. The two-position adjustable gas regulator and short-stroke gas piston system deliver reliable function across conditions.
The platform’s extended monolithic upper provides a continuous top Picatinny rail, with additional rail sections at the 3, 6, and 9 o'clock positions on the extended fore-end. This gives ample space for mounting day/night aiming devices and accessories in a stable configuration.
Ergonomics are enhanced by an adjustable stock with comb height and length-of-pull adjustment, plus a bottom Picatinny rail for rear monopod or accessory use. Controls include a side charging handle and a left-side bolt catch/release paddle, complemented by a manual safety selector.
The trigger is the Geissele Super SCAR two-stage, offering a precise, repeatable break suitable for precision-focused applications. The aluminum receiver wears a durable Flat Dark Earth finish and carries FN markings including "FN COLUMBIA, SC USA" and the FN oval logo roll mark. The quick-removal barrel assembly is retained by captive T25 screws for streamlined maintenance.
