Its operating system is simple blowback, housed in a tubular steel receiver with an internal cylindrical bolt and right-side ejection. Rear grasping ears provide a positive purchase for charging.
Produced during the A100 grip-frame era (post-1971), it wears checkered black synthetic grips with Ruger medallions. The pistol feeds from a detachable box magazine and carries a 10+1 capacity in .22 Long Rifle.
