Chambered in .30-30, the Model 325-B uses a detachable 3-round steel box magazine and offers a 3+1 capacity. It is a cock-on-open bolt-action with a manual magazine release, designed to run the rimmed .30-30 cartridge reliably.
The 21" barrel is paired with an early Savage-style barrel nut, a hallmark of this period. The receiver carries the rollmark "STEVENS – SAVAGE ARMS CORPORATION – CHICOPEE FALLS, MASS. U.S.A." and the barrel is stamped "PROOF TESTED CAL. 30-30." The receiver’s left wall is drilled and tapped for a side-mount.
Sighting is straightforward and practical with a ramped front blade and an open rear leaf adjustable for elevation. The rifle wears a blued finish and a hardwood stock with a pistol-grip profile, uncheckered, and capped by a black hard-rubber/plastic buttplate. Fixed sling swivels are installed front and rear, and a leather sling is currently fitted.
Produced in the United States in the late 1940s, the Model 325-B represents a transitional design that preceded the Savage 340. It has a 14" length of pull, keeping the handling familiar for a classic sporting bolt action from this era.
