What’s Included
- W+F Bern K31 (Karabiner Modell 1931) rifle
- 1x 6-round factory Swiss steel detachable box magazine, serial-numbered to the rifle
The K31 uses a cam-actuated, front-locking straight-pull action with a circular rear cocking ring and a safety integrated into the cocking piece. Feeding is from a detachable 6-round magazine for a 6+1 capacity, and the receiver is compatible with stripper clips for rapid loading.
The sighting system pairs a drift-adjustable squared front post with protective wings and a tangent rear sight graduated to 1500 m. This arrangement reflects Swiss service configuration and complements the rifle’s 25.5 in barrel for practical, repeatable sight pictures.
The stock is a full-length hardwood pattern with a finger groove, a side sling bar escutcheon on the butt, two barrel bands, and a separate top handguard. A stacking hook is fitted to the front band, and sling hardware includes a swivel on the rear/middle barrel band; the front band carries the stacking hook only.
Markings include the Swiss shield-with-cross crest on the receiver ring, the P privatization stamp on the barrel shank, a Swiss cross acceptance mark, and an inspector’s cartouche near the sight base. The metal is blued with the bolt left in the white, and the length of pull measures 12.5 in.
