The STLR-4 Standard is Stoeger’s American-made .22 LR Luger-pattern pistol, distinguished by a non-locking blowback toggle system. The design keeps the classic Luger profile while using a straightforward blowback action, and the bolt locks open when the toggle is raised.
It wears a 4.5 inch hammer-rifled steel barrel and fixed sights: a ramped and serrated front blade paired with an integral fixed square-notch rear. Factory literature specifies steel moving parts and the hammer-rifled bore.
Controls are set up on the left side with a manual thumb safety and a push-button magazine release. Knurled toggle knobs provide positive purchase when charging. Capacity is 10+1 with the included single-stack magazine.
Finish and furniture include a bright polished metallic exterior and checkered wood grips. Markings include "LUGER" with "REG. U.S. PAT. OFF" on the left side and the Stoeger South Hackensack, New Jersey address on the right.
Production of this model was discontinued circa 1969–1985.
