What’s Included
- Remington U.S. Model of 1917 .30-06 bolt-action rifle
Produced by Remington during 1918–1919, this U.S. Model of 1917 reflects the standard American WWI infantry rifle pattern adapted from the British Pattern 1914 Enfield action and chambered in .30-06. It feeds from a 5-round internal box magazine and is designed for quick topping-off with stripper clips.
The sighting system follows the model pattern: a protected front sight base with wings on a barrel base and a flip-up ladder aperture rear sight, all within integral receiver ears. This setup provides a long, usable sight radius matched to the 26 inch barrel.
The full-length, oil-finished hardwood stock shows the correct grasping grooves and is paired with a two-piece top handguard. Hardware is in the proper WWI service pattern, including sling swivels, a front band with bayonet lug, and a steel buttplate with a hinged trapdoor for oiler or cleaning gear.
Finish is the dark blue/black oxide typical for the model over a steel receiver and barrel. Remington "R" part stamps are present, and the rifle’s U.S. manufacture and WWI era configuration are consistent throughout. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
