Built on the classic M1 platform and documented through the Civilian Marksmanship Program, this rifle combines CMP provenance with desirable WWII production features. The Springfield Armory barrel is date-marked "S-A 4 45," aligning it with late-war manufacture, and the bolt is marked "D28287-12SA W9B."
The rifle retains a uniform parkerized finish over its steel receiver and components, paired with U.S. GI pattern hardwood stock and two-piece upper handguards. The stock features a semi-pistol grip, front and rear sling swivels, and a stacking swivel, preserving its service-correct configuration.
Its iron sight system consists of a wing-protected front post and a rear aperture with positive windage and elevation knobs. The bayonet lug is integral to the gas cylinder, and the rifle feeds from the standard internal 8-round en-bloc clip system.
Mechanically, it follows the proven semiautomatic, gas-operated, long-stroke piston design with a rotating bolt, as engineered by John C. Garand and fielded through WWII and the Korean War.
