Built on a U.S. Springfield Armory Model 1903 receiver from the first year of production, this rifle offers the classic 1903 controlled-round feed with a full-length extractor and a cock-on-open action. It uses an internal 4-round magazine with a hinged floorplate and was manufactured in the United States.
The rifle was rebarreled and chambered in .300 Savage, pairing a 24 inch blued sporter barrel with a ramp front sight base. The ramp is serrated and cut with a dovetail for a bead, and there is no rear barrel sight. A low-scope swing safety has been fitted to clear the optic.
The stock is a walnut sporter pattern with a raised cheekpiece, a black fore-end tip, and a steel grooved buttplate. An inletted sling base is installed in the fore-end, and the length of pull measures 13.5 inches.
Optics are handled by a Weaver K 2.5 fixed-power scope marked El Paso, Texas, U.S.A., featuring a fine crosshair reticle. The scope is mounted on a side-mounted base secured with screws and fitted with rings, aligning with the rifle's sporterized configuration. This is a custom sporter, not the factory NRA Sporter variant.
