ROF Fazakerley Lee-Enfield No.4 Mk I .303 British Bolt-Action Rifle, 25.2 in Barrel, 10+1, Receiver-Top Picatinny Rail
This ROF Fazakerley No.4 Mk I is a British-made .303 bolt-action rifle with a clean, mirror-finish bore and a receiver-top Picatinny rail installed. It retains key No.4 features such as the charger-bridge receiver and No.4-type bayonet boss, and it wears a hardwood service stock marked with the short butt (S) length for a 12.5 inch length of pull. Note: the upper handguards are absent, leaving the top of the barrel exposed between the receiver and front band. Broad-arrow acceptance on the fore-end and Fazakerley production details add clear, verifiable appeal.

- 1x 10-round steel Lee-Enfield pattern detachable box magazine
Built at ROF Fazakerley in Liverpool, this No.4 Mk I follows the classic Lee-Enfield pattern in .303 British with a bolt-action, cock-on-closing system and a detachable 10-round magazine (10+1 capacity as stated). It features the charger-bridge receiver, though the installed receiver-top rail obstructs charger loading unless the rail is removed; a protected front blade sight; and the No.4-type bayonet boss at the muzzle. Barrel length is approximately 25.2 inches.
A key update on this example is the aftermarket receiver-top Picatinny rail, which is installed in place of, or over, the original rear sight. The rail itself bears hand-scratched text reading "No4 MK1 ROF (F)." The receiver/barrel socket shows an "FP" prefix marking. These details are visible and help document the rifle’s present configuration.
The rifle retains its hardwood service stock with a one-piece fore-end; however, the upper handguards are missing. The butt is marked S (short), corresponding to an approximate 12.5 inch length of pull. The stock presents an oil finish consistent with service-style furniture, and a khaki web sling is installed.
Additional markings include a broad-arrow acceptance stamp on the fore-end. The bore condition stands out: it is clean and mirror-bright with sharp lands and grooves. A manual safety is fitted, consistent with the No.4 pattern.
