Built at the Cugir factory in Romania, this WASR-10/63 GP carries the Cugir triangle arsenal mark along with ROMARM/CUGIR ROMANIA and CAI GEORGIA, VT import markings. The "10/63" designation reflects its md.63 heritage adapted to semiautomatic form for export.
It uses a stamped and riveted AKM-pattern receiver that is flat-sided (no magazine-well dimples; uses internal spacer plates) and has a left-side optics rail, finished with a matte protective coating. The gas tube is vented, and the muzzle is fitted with a thread protector/muzzle nut retained by the front sight base detent.
Furniture includes a TAPCO USA polymer side-folding stock with a push-button hinge, a black polymer pistol grip with checkering, and a polymer ribbed lower handguard. Length of pull is 14.0 inches.
The rifle operates via a semi-automatic, long-stroke gas piston system with a rotating bolt. It has a 16.25-inch barrel, AKM-style iron sights with a post front and tangent rear leaf, and is compatible with detachable double-stack AK-pattern magazines. Capacity is 30+1, and two 30-round magazines are included.
