Ruger Mark I Standard .22 LR Semi-Automatic Pistol, 4.75" Tapered Barrel, Blued, 1960 Southport Rollmark
This 1960 Ruger Mark I Standard combines the classic 4.75" tapered barrel with an all-steel, blued construction and Southport, Connecticut rollmark. It is a pre-1978 example without the later barrel safety-warning rollmark, featuring the open-top tubular receiver, right-side ejection, and a single-column 10-round magazine.
The pistol retains the hallmark Mark I controls, including a left-side thumb safety that functions as a bolt hold-open and a heel-style magazine catch. Fixed sights with a drift-adjustable rear notch and a cylindrical bolt with ribbed rear ears complete the period-correct configuration.

What’s Included
- Ruger Mark I Standard .22 LR pistol
- 1x 10-round steel single-stack magazine with heel-catch floorplate
Built on Ruger's open-top tubular receiver with right-side ejection, this Mark I uses a simple blowback action and a cylindrical bolt with ribbed rear ears for positive manipulation. The design reflects the early Ruger .22 auto form that defined the series.
The 4.75" tapered steel barrel and fixed sights offer a straightforward sight picture. The front is a fixed blade on a pedestal, while the rear notch is set in a dovetail and adjustable for windage by drift.
Controls are true to the model and era: a left-side thumb safety that doubles as a bolt hold-open, and a heel-style magazine catch at the butt. It feeds from a single-column 10-round magazine for a total capacity of 10+1.
Construction is all steel, including the upper and the two-piece stamped-and-welded steel grip frame, finished in blue. Checkered black synthetic grips with Ruger medallions round out the classic Mark I profile. The Southport, Connecticut rollmark and lack of a barrel safety-warning rollmark are consistent with its 1960 production.
